Roots & Paws
Every dog is an individual, and their nutrition should reflect that.
Through personalised consultations, I work with owners to better understand their dog’s diet, health history, and lifestyle, helping them make informed decisions that support lifelong wellbeing.
“This is the perfect first step if you’re unsure which consultation your dog needs or want to see if working together feels right.” - Emma
Roots & Paws Nutrition Consultations
At The Dog’s Deli, we understand that every dog is different. Through Roots & Paws, our canine nutrition service, we offer personalised consultations designed to help owners better understand their dog’s dietary needs and support long term health through appropriate nutrition.
Discovery call
Unsure if a consultation is right for you? A short discovery call allows us to discuss your dog, answer your questions, and see whether nutritional support would be beneficial.
The First step, a low risk way to see if working with me would be beneficial to you.
Full Consultation
During a full consultation, we take a detailed look at your dog’s diet, health history, and lifestyle. You will receive personalised feeding guidance, which may include a tailored feeding plan, recommended adjustments, or recipe suggestions to support balance and variety over time.
Follow Up
A follow up consultation is for Dog's that have already had a Full Consultation and allows us to review how your dog is progressing, discuss any improvements or challenges, and make any adjustments needed to support their ongoing health.
Can I Help Your Dog?
My aim is to support dog owners at every stage of their journey, from new puppy owners to experienced dog guardians, and from puppies through to senior dogs.
Does your dog struggle with digestive issues such as loose or inconsistent stools?
Constant itching and licking? Recurring ear infections? Poor skin or coat condition? Stiff joints or food intolerances?
Or perhaps you simply want to ensure your dog’s diet is providing everything they need to support long term health.
If so, I may be the nutritionist for you.

-
Decide whether a full consultation is the right next step.
This call is an introduction, not a full consultation, and gives you the opportunity to see if working together feels right for you and your dog.
Full Consultation - £69.99
A full consultation is a detailed, personalised consultation designed to support dogs of all ages and health conditions.
-
Book your consultation - i will be in touch via email.

This session ensures your dog’s plan evolves with their needs and provides continued personalised support.
Who is behind Roots & Paws?
Emma Fernandez – Canine Nutritionist

In addition to my qualifications i also undertake CPD regularly by completing certificate courses, keeping up to date with new studies and visiting Nutrition conferences.
I am a lifelong Dog guardian, I, myself come from a background of Canine Professionals, from Vet nurses to breeders and breed judges.
Why choose me?
I know what it is like to feel overwhelmed, trying to find the right solutions for your dog. I have been there myself, experimenting with diets, supplements, and lifestyle changes, wanting to provide the best for my dogs without relying only on medications or prescription foods.
I could not find anyone willing to work with me holistically, looking at my dogs as individuals rather than just treating symptoms. That experience is what drives me to help other dog owners navigate nutrition in a natural, dog centred way, supporting long term health and wellbeing.
